Welcome to Merrill Farms, located in Wakeman, Ohio. At our farm, we prioritize animal welfare, ensuring that all our cattle have free access to shelter, quality feed, and water at all times. Our commitment to ethical practices means we never use added growth hormones, and antibiotics are administered only when necessary, with strict adherence to withdrawal periods. As passionate advocates for agriculture, especially in raising quality cattle, we take pride in producing premium beef and hold a Beef Quality Assurance certification. High-Quality Beef
At Merrill Farms, we raise high-quality beef cattle and cultivate crops like hay, corn, soybeans, and wheat. Our small herd of Registered Shorthorn Cattle produces purebred seedstock, including females and beef projects for junior fairs. The cattle are grass-fed and pasture-raised until weaning at 5 to 7 months, weighing 500-700 pounds. After weaning, they receive a specialized grower ration to promote growth, along with our farm's hay. Once they reach optimal weight, they transition to a grain finishing ration for enhanced marbling and flavor. We also offer 100% grass-fed and finished beef as an alternative.
